Child Evaluations in Pinellas Park, FL

Pinellas Park sits right in the heart of the county, so getting to an evaluation is easy. I provide private gifted, learning-disability, ADHD, and 504 evaluations for children from Pinellas Park, Kenneth City, and the surrounding central-county neighborhoods, with appointments typically available within 1 to 2 weeks.

Evaluations for Pinellas Park and Kenneth City families

I work with families throughout central Pinellas County — Pinellas Park, Kenneth City, Lealman, and the neighborhoods along Park Boulevard, 66th Street, and US 19. Testing is completed in person by a Nationally Certified School Psychologist with 15+ years of experience, and every report is written to meet Florida district requirements.

Whether your child attends a Pinellas County public school, a charter or fundamental school, or a private school nearby, an independent evaluation gives you a clear, comprehensive picture of how your child learns — and a report you own and can share with the school on your own timeline.

Gifted testing and Pinellas County Schools

Pinellas County Schools follow Florida's gifted rule (6A-6.03019, F.A.C.), which generally looks for a full-scale IQ around 130 on an individually administered test, plus a majority of gifted characteristics on a standardized checklist and demonstrated need. My evaluation documents exactly what the district's staffing committee needs to make its eligibility decision.

How I can help

I offer six evaluation services for children ages 5 through high school, each built around well-established measures like the WISC-V, RIAS-2, and Woodcock-Johnson.

How quickly can my child be tested?

Appointments are typically available within 1 to 2 weeks, and the full process — from the initial consultation through the feedback session — usually takes about 2 to 3 weeks. By comparison, a district evaluation can take up to 90 school days.

All testing happens in person here in Pinellas County, a short drive from anywhere in Pinellas Park or Kenneth City. Families travel in from across Tampa Bay, and reports are accepted by Pinellas, Hillsborough, Pasco, and Manatee County schools.

What does an evaluation cost?

Gifted evaluations are $425 with the RIAS-2 or $450 with the WISC-V. A full psychoeducational evaluation is $1,500, and a 504 evaluation is $1,700. For ADHD, admissions, and executive functioning evaluations, I confirm the fee during your free 15-minute consultation.

This is a private-pay practice — I accept cash, check, and Zelle, and I provide a detailed receipt you can submit for HSA or FSA reimbursement. FES-UA scholarship funds may apply, so please ask during the consultation. See the full pricing page for details, or read why insurance rarely covers this testing.
