Do you test children from Pasco County?

Yes. I evaluate children from across Pasco County — Wesley Chapel, Land O'Lakes, New Port Richey, Trinity, and the surrounding communities. All testing happens in person at my Pinellas County location, and families travel in from across Tampa Bay for it.

Will Pasco County Schools accept a private evaluation?

Yes. My reports are written to meet Florida district requirements and are accepted by Pasco County Schools, as well as Pinellas, Hillsborough, and Manatee. To be clear about how this works: my evaluation documents everything the district needs, but the district's staffing committee makes the final eligibility decision — no private evaluator can promise a particular outcome.

Gifted testing for Pasco County students

Florida's gifted rule (Rule 6A-6.03019, F.A.C.) generally requires a full-scale IQ around 130 — two standard deviations above the mean — on an individually administered test, plus a majority of gifted characteristics on a standardized checklist and a demonstrated need for gifted services.

Is the trip from Pasco worth it?

For most families, yes — because of the timeline. I can usually schedule testing within 1 to 2 weeks, and the full process, from consultation to feedback session, takes about 2 to 3 weeks. A district evaluation can take up to 90 school days.
